Congress Innsbruck is located in part of the city’s old town. The oldest part of the facility houses an important historic hall, the Dogana, built in the middle ages, one of the oldest European theatres. Construction of the final building had to consider the architectural significance. The result is a successful mixture of historic and modern architecture, which also embraces the breathtaking surrounding mountain ranges by using glass wherever possible. Congress Innsbruck underwent an expansion and upgrading in 1993-1995. There are 13 multipurpose halls, ranging from 45 to 2,300 square meters. These rooms are used for conferences, seminars, trade fair exhibitions, and cultural and social events like art exhibits, concerts, galas, etc.
